    The Brontë Sisters and Their Function As the 3 famous Brontë sisters climbed up, they wrote stories much as young women. They developed their characters and plotlines through the years, and these 3 works would later become either their best or only functions; Charlotte with Jane Eyre, Emily with Wuthering Heights, and Anne with Agnes Grey. This book sets out to interpret the fiction of the Brontë sisters in light of a Marxist analysis of the historical conditions in which it was produced. Its aim is not merely to relate literary facts, but by a close critical examination of the novels, to find in them a significant structure of ideas and values which related to the Brontë s' ambiguous situation within the class system of their.
